The protea represents diversity, transformation and courage. Even on the dullest of days, proteas boast spectacular displays of huge, vibrant blooms. Since moving to Australia, I have become in awe of these majestic flowers. Although often used as a backdrop, I believe proteas deserve the centre stage.
